My painting practice evolved from my love for vibrant color palettes, fantastical creatures roaming otherwordly landscapes, and the beings that inhabit the unknown corners of our world. I usually work in acrylics and gouache mediums, focusing on blending and smooth transistions between the features of my work. My style is impressionistic, and I work from a place of joy and improvisation -- I do not enjoy meticulously planning my work. Rather, I paint what makes me happy and what I enjoy painting, therefore my creations are truly a glimpse into my inner world, a look through my mind's eye. I hope you enjoy this selection of my best works, encompassing my work in both the fantastical and the realistic realms of my imagination. A selection of pieces featured in this gallery were conceived during my time at the University of Texas at Austin, where I took a course with Karen Maness in which I developed the skills necessary for rendering different textiles and materials in paint. Feast your eyes, and enter my world...
